Payouts, explained

How payouts work

You get paid every time a meeting you book actually happens. Not when you book it. Not when something gets sold. When the meeting is held. This page explains exactly what counts, how we confirm it, and when the money lands.

Step 1

You book the meeting

You cold call businesses from the list we give you and book a qualified meeting with the vendor's team.

Step 2

The meeting is held

The business owner shows up and the meeting actually happens. Booked is not enough.

Step 3

You get paid

We confirm the meeting the same day, and the payout goes out in the Friday run.

What counts as a held meeting

A meeting is when the meeting actually happens. The business owner you booked gets on the call or sits down with the vendor's team, and the conversation takes place. That is the whole test.

  • Meeting happened? That pays. It does not matter whether they buy anything. Selling is the vendor's job.
  • Booked but not held? Not yet. A calendar invite alone never pays. It has to actually happen.
  • No-show? No payout for that slot, but the lead is not dead. The meeting can be re-booked, and when the re-booked meeting is held you get the full payout.

How we confirm it, same day

You do not have to prove anything or file anything. On the day of the meeting, the Fairground team the vendor's calendar and confirms the meeting happened. If it did, the payout is marked confirmed that same day, day zero.

The moment it is confirmed, you can see it in your with the vendor name, the amount, and the date it will be paid.

When the money lands

Payouts run every Friday. Everything confirmed during the week goes out in that Friday's run. Here is the typical week, using a Tuesday meeting as the example:

  1. Tuesday

    The meeting is held

The business owner sits down with the vendor's team and the meeting happens.

  2. Tuesday, same day

    We confirm it

The Fairground team checks the vendor calendar and marks the meeting confirmed.

  3. Tuesday evening

    It shows in your wallet

The payout appears as confirmed, with the amount and the payout date.

  4. Friday

    You get paid

The Friday payout run sends the money. It typically reaches your bank within a few business days, depending on your bank.

Why some meetings pay more than others

Each vendor's payout depends on their , the size of the deal they are chasing. The payout for your campaign is set before you start calling, so there are never surprises.

TierTypical deal sizeExamples
LowSmaller tools and services, usually a modest monthly costScheduling software, review management, office supplies
MidMeaningful annual contractsPayroll, marketing services, hiring platforms
HighLarge annual contracts, big decisionsInsurance, payments processing, major software switches

What that looks like in practice

HVAC company, payroll vendor

per held meeting

You cold call an HVAC company and book the owner a meeting with a payroll vendor. The meeting is held Tuesday, we confirm it against the vendor calendar that same day, and your payout goes out in Friday's payout run.

Dental office, scheduling software

per held meeting

You call a dental office and book the office manager a meeting with a scheduling software vendor. The meeting happens Thursday morning, it is confirmed Thursday, and your payout goes out the next day, Friday.

Roofing company, commercial insurance

per held meeting

You call a roofing company and book the owner a meeting with a commercial insurance vendor. The meeting is held Monday. Whether or not he ends up switching policies, the payout is yours, confirmed Monday and paid Friday.

The no-show policy

Life happens. Business owners are busy, and sometimes they miss the meeting. Here is exactly what a no-show means for you:

  • A no-show does not pay. The meeting has to actually happen.
  • A no-show does not kill the lead. The vendor works to re-book the meeting.
  • When the re-booked meeting is held, you get the full payout, same as always.
  • No-shows never count against you. There is no penalty and no strike system.

The best thing you can do after a no-show is call back and lock in a new time. A quick, friendly follow-up re-books more meetings than anything else.
