Privacy policy

When you sign up or apply we collect the information you provide: your name, city and state, mobile phone number, email address, and your answers about your background and business relationships. We also collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type) and campaign attribution data (which ad or link brought you here).

If you use the member product, we also store the contacts you choose to import, the introductions you make, and the payout records tied to your account.

Connecting your Google account is optional. If you connect it, we request exactly two read-only scopes, and nothing more:

• Calendar, read only (calendar.readonly): we read event times and attendees so we can spot the intro meetings you set and confirm when a meeting was held. We cannot create, edit, or delete events.
• Gmail metadata (gmail.metadata): we see message headers only, such as sender, recipient, and date, so we can tell that an introduction email went out and got a reply. This scope does not include message bodies. We never read, store, or process the content of your email, and we never see attachments.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to power your own account features, we do not use it for advertising, and no human reads it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires.

Contacts you import belong to you. We use them for one thing: helping you decide who to introduce and track the introductions you make. We do not sell them, share them with vendors, or merge them into any shared database.

We never message your network without you. Every introduction is sent by you, from you, when you choose to send it. ITA never emails, texts, or calls the people in your contacts on your behalf.

We keep account data for as long as needed to run the program. You can delete your imported contact data at any time, and you do not need to email anyone to do it. In the product, go to Settings > Network and privacy to disconnect your Google account and delete the data that came with it. Disconnecting removes our access tokens and deletes the imported contacts, calendar details, and email metadata tied to your account.
